This event, observed during the first month of the Islamic “Hijri” calendar, Muharram, honours Hussain, the grandson of the holy Prophet Muhammad, and his 72 companions, who stood for justice and were martyred on the 10th day of Muharram. The design serves as a tribute to their sacrifice and enduring legacy, with proceeds supporting the community. The “72 Lions” initiative not only raised funds but also promoted a spirit of unity and reflection on their timeless message of courage, faith, and standing for what is right.
